Le LeBreton Flats Arena fait parti d'un projet de revalorisation d'Ottawa Downtown, une nouvelle patinoire pour les Senateurs. Il a pour but de remplacer le vieillissant Canadian Tire Centre, et surtout le rapprocher du centre ville.
